The Swiss federal mail company Schweizerische Post has strengthened its existing presence in Baden-Württemberg by acquiring Hugger GmbH in Aldingen, Germany, effective January 1, 2022. Hugger GmbH is a freight forwarding company with 217 employees focusing on road freight transport. At the same time, Swiss Post acquired the shares of Logistic Center Villingen GmbH (LCV) in Villingen-Schwenningen, a company with 12 employees that specializes in warehousing services. With the acquisitions of Hugger and LCV, Swiss Post is strengthening its existing subsidiary Bächle Logistics GmbH in Villingen-Schwenningen.

In addition to legal due diligence, the advice included the preparation and negotiation of the transaction documentation as well as merger control.
