The Swiss federal mail company Swiss Post (Schweizerische Post) through its German subsidiary Bächle Logistics acquired the freight forwarding company Spedition Hans Peter Nolden in Kerpen.
Spedition Nolden was founded in 1890 and provides transport services throughout Europe with a fleet of approximately 60 vehicles. The company has around 50 employees. The strategic acquisition of the previously family-run business further strengthens Schweizerische Post’s logistics network for the provision of cross-border logistics services.
Bächle Logistics - located in Villingen-Schwenningen - has been part of the Schweizerische Post Group since 2018. Spedition Nolden will be integrated into Bächle Logistics.
FRANKUS advised Swiss Post on all legal aspects of the acquisition of Spedition Nolden and thereby provided once again legal advice in a logistics transaction to Swiss Post. The FRANKUS team consisted of Dr. Torsten Bergau (lead) as well as Charlotte Kaiser, Esther Remberg-Schimpf, Lars Schlüter and Britta Scherler.
FRANKUS has around 70 employees in Düsseldorf, including 25 professionals in tax, legal and finance. The firm advises German medium-sized businesses as well as international corporations. All partners and many staff members previously worked for a “Big Four“ company or an international law firm.
